The costumes of the Red Yao
The "Red Yao" living in Longsheng County, Guangxi Province are a branch of the Yao ethnic group. They are named after their admiration for red in clothing. The Red Yao people believe that red is a symbol of prosperity and happiness. Women of this ethnic group often wear colourful tops with red as the main colour and silver earrings.
