The door god is a deity traditionally believed to safeguard the entrance of homes in folklore. Before the Spring Festival, people adorn their doors with door gods to ensure the safety of their homes and usher in happiness for their families. Typically depicted in pairs on New Year pictures, these door gods stand face to face, posted on both sides of the entrance.

In this particular set of New Year pictures, the door gods are represented as Jing Dei on the left and Qin Qiong on the right. Both figures are adorned in armor, with bows and arrows at their waists, and weapons in their hands, presenting a majestic appearance.

This particular New Year picture is meticulously printed on antique rice paper at Heng Xing Yi New Year Picture Shop in Yangjiabu, Shandong Province, boasting a rich history of over 100 years.

Please note that this set of New Year pictures is sold in pairs and unframed.
