Christmas Velvet Flower Brooch - Poinsettia

The Velvet Flower craft intricately utilises mulberry silk for surface details with copper wire serving as the framework. The resulting plants and animals boast vibrant colours and lifelike shapes. Despite having a history of more than 300 years, this ancient craft continues to evolve and innovate.

This Christmas season, GOSESUMMER collaborates with Mr. Cai Zhiwei, a skilled artisan specialising in the Beijing Velvet Flower and Velvet Bird craft, to introduce a limited-edition Christmas Velvet Flower Series. This exclusive collection comprises three plant-shaped brooches: holly, mistletoe, and poinsettia. Each brooch is meticulously handcrafted by Mr. Cai and his team.

Maintenance Tips：Keep the brooch away from liquids to prevent the silk from getting wet. The copper wire is soft. If the brooch's shape changes, you can gently adjust it with your hands.
